The establishment of CREOD launches a next level of focus and reach for the research work of the individuals listed above. While the Centre continues to work within the Gage Occupational and Environmental Health Unit context, it is also actively building linkages with researchers from a broad range of disciplines and perspectives from other Centres to study occupational exposures, mechanisms, and disease. In addition, the Centre encourages and facilitates the participation of workplace parties in research activity. The research team has expanded to include those interested in active collaborative work.

The Centre supports and encourages students in fields linked to the study and prevention of occupational disease. Funding support, seminar series, and efforts to link students to senior researchers and research studies help to build capacity and capability for the future of the field.
